a major competition soon to be organized in Morocco

Algeria Football – After obtaining the organization of the World Cup (CDM) 2030 and the African Cup of Nations (CAN) 2025, Morocco wants to organize a new international competition.

After CAN 2025 and CDM 20230, Morocco has great ambitions in the world of futsal by applying to host the next World Cup. It was Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), who officially announced this candidacy during a ceremony in honor of the Atlas Lions, welcoming their qualification for the quarter-finals of the Futsal World Cup currently in Uzbekistan.

The FRMF aims to make Morocco a major player in football, not only regionally, but also on a continental and international scale. This candidacy to organize the Futsal World Cup marks a decisive step in this ambition, and demonstrates the seriousness with which Morocco wishes to establish itself in this discipline.

Lekjaa congratulated the Atlas Lions for their remarkable performance during the world tournament, and called on Moroccan futsal officials to develop a realistic and ambitious action plan to prepare for this candidacy. The country intends to take advantage of its infrastructure and its experience in organizing major competitions to convince FIFA to entrust the event to the kingdom.
