Brazil qualified for the final of the Futsal World Cup, Uzbekistan 2024, after beating Ukraine by 3 goals to 2 on Wednesday in Tashkent.
The Seleçao won thanks to Rostyslav Semenchenko’s own goal (21st) and Dyego’s double (22nd, 36th). The Ukrainians opened the scoring through Ihor Cherniavskyi (18th), before equalizing 2-2 on a goal from Ihor Korsun (29th).
Brazil will play its seventh final. He has already won five, in 1989, 1992, 1996, 2008 and 2012 and lost one, in 2000.
Ukraine will play the classification match for the second time in its history. His best performance in five participations (before Uzbekistan-2024) was fourth place in 1996.
The other semi-final will pit Argentina against France on Thursday in Tashkent.
The final and the classification match are scheduled for October 6 in Tashkent, at 4:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. (GMT+1) respectively.
