For the Torch Relay to be a great popular celebration, all the prefectures involved are strongly mobilized to ensure its security.
The flame will leave the Pic du Canigou to arrive at the end of the day at the Palace of the Kings of Majorca in Perpignan, passing through the stopover towns of Prades, Font-Romeu, Céret, Villeneuve de la Raho, Port-Vendres and Collioure and of course Perpignan.

For the Torch Relay to be a great popular celebration, all the prefectures involved are strongly mobilized to ensure its security.
• Securing all of the Relay routes (celebration areas and their surroundings, route routes, public transport, celebration locations) is primarily the responsibility of the competent prefects, in conjunction with state services.
• Securing the Flame route relies in particular on:
o the establishment of a system for staking out internal security forces and police officers
municipal;
o the installation of barriers and parking ban measures;
o the possible mobilization of additional mobile force units in the stopover town and in transit towns.
• Additional means are deployed to ensure the security of emblematic and historic sites.
• Safety screenings were carried out as part of the selection of the 11,000 torchbearers who will carry the Flame on a segment of the route
