Benjamin Vigneault did not miss his return to Victoriaville. The Quebec Remparts defender had a blast with a performance of two goals and three assists to lead his team to a crushing 9-1 victory against the Tigres on Sunday at the Colisée Desjardins.
The harvest was also good for Justin Côté, who assisted on five goals for the Remparts.
Vigneault, 20, played the last three seasons in the QMJHL with the Tigres before being acquired in June by Remparts general manager Simon Gagné.
In three games, the Quebec native now has eight points, two goals and six assists.
Prodigy Maddox Dagenais, first overall pick in the most recent QMJHL draft, continued his momentum with already a fifth goal this season.
Dagenais, the son of Pierre, former Montreal Canadiens forward, has amassed seven points in four games so far in his first year in the Cecchini circuit.
The Remparts improved their record to 2-1-1. They will face the Islanders in Charlottetown on Thursday.
