The third edition of the Amateur Trophies in Lot-et-Garonne delivered its verdict this Thursday evening, at the Espace François-Mitterand in Boé.

Hundreds of people, from the four corners of the department, were present for the Amateur Rugby Trophies, organized by the La Dépêche Group and the Departmental Committee. First to speak, Éric Laffont-Baylet, managing director of the La Dépêche Group, launched the evening expressing his “pride” in bringing together all the players in the oval ball. “We are really very proud of it, and we also thank the Departmental Committee without whom we could not have this evening. » Éric Laffont-Baylet also indicated strong enthusiasm from readers. Last year, around 7,000 people voted on our site.

“Congratulations to the club volunteers”

“This time, there were more than 13,000 voters, almost 14,000… It is a form of recognition for these men and women who are involved on a daily basis,” explains the Group’s managing director. The president of the Departmental Committee, Jean-Marc Garin, gave him a very positive overview of Lot-et-Garonnais rugby. “We are seeing more young graduates arriving. Especially for women, it’s very good. The number is increasing sharply. » For this evening, the organizers had pulled out all the stops. With a godfather, a luxury guest, in the person of Daniel Dubroca, former captain of the XV of and true legend of the SUA. “I follow amateur rugby, particularly Sainte-Bazeille or Casteljaloux… I especially wanted to say well done to the club volunteers. »

During this evening, they had their own little moment, taking to the stage of a packed Espace François Mitterrand. For more than two hours, players, coaches, and even referees were in the spotlight. The first title awarded concerned the Federal level, with Gabriel Tarride, three-quarter of RC Bon-Encontre Boé, rewarded for his twenty years at the club, but also for his commitment to young people. “We will continue to train them. We will try to ensure that there are twenty more years at RCBB, but also to win a few titles with the young people this year. » Moments of sharing were the hallmark of the evening, like Adrian Lougnon, awarded the title of best player in Regional 3, and dedicating his title “to his partners”. A very rugby moment. Like these Trophies, marked by a poignant minute of applause in tribute to Medhi Narjissi.
