Friday October 4 at 7:45 p.m., the LHC welcomes EV Zug to the Vaudoise arena. This meeting, under the sign of Play4kids, will highlight the “Marchethon” and “Ilenya my life” association.
Walkathon is a sponsored run/walk for people with cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease affecting one in 2,500 children and mainly affecting the respiratory tract and digestive system. The 39th edition will take place Saturday October 5the day after our Lions’ Play4kids meeting

The association in a few words
“The Walkathon is an event that is intended to be as much sporting and recreational as it is family-friendly, with the possibility for families to easily come and participate. The event is characterized by several solidarity races on a pretty route around Vidy. Through several food stands and areas for children, we offer people affected, personally or emotionally by cystic fibrosis, the opportunity to come together in a jovial atmosphere around a good cause.”
The association can also count on four partner service clubs which make it possible to remove the various logistical costs linked to the event and which donate all of their profits to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation:

- Creation of a large-scale event

The Play4Kids event
“Above all, it gives me great pride to be able to collaborate with the Lausanne Hockey Club on Play4Kids. We have been looking for sporting or artistic partners for 15 years to give visibility to this still little-known disease. We know the impact that the LHC can have on the population of the region and we are very honored to be able to benefit from the showcase of an event of this magnitude in the service of a good cause.”
