The Jean-Dauger stadiums in Bayonne and Mayol stadiums in Toulon will host three preparation meetings for the French football team (July 4, 11 and 17), just before the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Jean-Dauger and Mayol are ready to welcome the footballers. The Aviron Bayonnais stadium will host the first friendly match of the French football team before the Paris Olympic Games (July 4). The usual den of the Toulon Rugby club will be the scene of two friendly matches of the French football team which will compete in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (July 26 – August 11), informs Var-Matin. The meetings will take place on July 11 and 17, and will be the last before the Olympic tournament. As a reminder, the football event only concerns those under twenty-three with three older players. Only eighteen players will be selected by Thierry Henry, the coach of the French Espoirs.
During the Olympic tournament, France will face the United States (July 24 in Marseille), New Zealand (July 30 in Marseille) and the winner of a play-off between Guinea and an Asian nation (July 27 in Nice). During the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games, France only won one of its three matches.
