Rabat – His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences and compassion to the family members of the eminent journalist, the late Belaid Bouimid, who died Tuesday in Casablanca.

In this message, His Majesty the King indicates that he learned with deep sorrow the news of the death of the late Bouimid, imploring the Almighty to accept Him among the virtuous faithful and to welcome Him into His vast paradise.

“In this painful circumstance, the divine will being unstoppable, We express to you and, through you, to all the relatives and friends of the deceased, as well as to his national media and sports family, Our deep condolences and Our sincere feelings of compassion, following the loss of one of the pioneers of sports journalism in Morocco who contributed with great professionalism, thanks to the vast culture and creativity with which God gifted him, to the development of the sports press in our country and to enriching its national library,” wrote the Sovereign.

His Majesty the King said he shared the feelings of the family of the deceased in this painful ordeal, remembering with great esteem the moral qualities of the late man and his sincere patriotism.

“We pray to God to grant you patience and comfort, as well as the best of rewards to the deceased and to welcome him into His vast paradise, as a reward for his praiseworthy actions in the service of his homeland,” the message added.

“And give good news to the patient who say, when a calamity befalls them: Verily we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.” The message concludes: “True is the word of Allah.”
