Club Brugge fans already hate him: how Gent pulled off a superb poker move by recruiting…in the English D4 – All football

Last week, Gent won 2-4 at Club Brugge. Max Dean scored his first league goal for the Buffalos and looks set for a bright future with the team.

Max Dean was the first to score against Club Bruges this Sunday. In the 40th minute of play, he scored the first goal and was especially noticed for his celebration, going so far as to provoke the Bruges supporters. With a so-called millionaire struta Conor McGregor celebration, he headed to the Club Brugge stand.

The “c**illons” in danger of disappearing

“I appreciate what McGregor is doing. I don’t think about it. I just do what comes to mind. Club Brugge fans have the right to be angry. But unfortunately I didn’t get any beer thrown at me,” Dean said after the match.

Arnar Vidarsson, sporting director of KAA Gent, was also impressed during the broadcast. Extra Time : “He’s just a p**s and they are currently disappearing in the world of football. I like to see that and I also provoked when I was a player.”

Ultimately, his behaviour earned Dean a yellow card during the match. “I didn’t approach Max about it, it’s a bit in his game obviously. We’ll talk about him having to channel that of course.”

“You can’t make a bigger deal out of it. I’ve seen a lot worse in my career. He’s opportunistic in the big box, but he’s just the type of guy who wants to win – he doesn’t have a mean or aggressive side,” he said. Wouter Vrancken about this.

A winner with a winning mentality

“He has a winning mentality. He won’t try to fake it and will do everything he can to stay up. His aim is to score goals and get a result. I prefer them to give their all rather than having to push them all the time.”

A few weeks ago, the manager thought Max Dean was not ready: “Max Dean is the only other centre-forward we have and he still has a way to go. Putting so much pressure on him is not appropriate yet and he is not ready. It is a shame, but there is nothing to be done,” he said at the time.

In two weeks, things have changed a lot. Dean now seems ready to start matches and has thanked for the trust placed in him. Among the supporters, he is starting to remind some Benito Raman in his glory days with the Buffalos. We can’t wait to see what the young player has in store for us…
