“We may have beaten them in a friendly two weeks ago in a men’s match, but this Saturday (8pm), it will be something else” against ASCH, warns Jean-Baptiste Oyhanondo, the coach of Adour Dax Basket. And this for several reasons: “It’s the second day of the championship. They lost their first match (against TOAC 83-73, Editor’s note). And it’s their first match at home, so yes, it’s obviously going to be a difficult match.” The ADB is therefore prepared for a high-intensity match. “It’s going to be a completely different opposition in terms of toughness and physical combat,” expects the Candressois.

The reality of friendly matches is not that of the championship. The victorious outcome of September 7th does not matter, it is the result of this Saturday that counts. All the more so since “each team had to hide their weapons a little, even if in terms of players, everyone knows each other”, explains the technician. The Grands Dacquois are ready for the challenge and know the recipe for winning in the Horsarrieu arenas. They proved it last year with a triumphant exit in the round of 16 of the Coupe des Landes (51-82). Will history repeat itself?
