Regragui is preparing a very big move!

Algeria Foot – The coach of the Moroccan national team, Walid Regragui, is preparing a very big move to make with the Atlas Lions…

The Moroccan national football team, led by coach Walid Regragui, is preparing intensively for its upcoming matches against Central Africa. The Atlas Lions will enter training camp at the Mohammed VI Center in Rabat, ahead of the two matches that will take place on October 11 and 15 at the Stade Chérifien in Oujda. These matches count for the third and fourth days of the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), which will be held in Morocco.

Regragui has already drawn up a preparation programme for these matches, which will soon be communicated to the media. Preparations will begin on 7 October at the Mohammed VI Centre in Rabat, before the team travels to Saidia, located about 60 kilometres from Oujda, to fine-tune its final strategies before the first match.

Due to ongoing renovation work at the Agadir Stadium, the two matches against Central Africa will take place at the Stade Chérifien in Oujda, which can accommodate more than 20,000 spectators. This choice makes it possible to optimize playing conditions while preparing the Agadir Stadium for the 2025 AFCON, scheduled from December 25, 2025 to January 18, 2026.

The Moroccan coach is expected to unveil the final list of players selected for these confrontations on October 2. This list is expected to include 26 players, although changes are possible due to possible injuries, including that of Ibrahim Diaz, the Real Madrid winger, whose participation is uncertain. Other players could thus be called up to strengthen the team for these crucial matches.
