UEFA announced the list of referees for Euro 2024 a few months before the start of the competition. Unfortunately, no representative of our country is part of it.
There are only a few months, or even a few weeks, left before the end of the season in the various European championships and especially the kick-off of Euro 2024 which will take place in Germany this summer.
This Tuesday, the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) communicated the list of 19 referees selected to whistle the various matches of the competition.
No Belgian referee selected for Euro 2024
Unfortunately for Belgium, no official from the country has been picked up by UEFA to take part in Euro 2024.
The most represented countries see two referees included and are England (with Anthony Taylor, Michael Oliver), France (with Clément Turpin, François Letexier), Germany (with Daniel Siebert, Felix Zwayer) and Italy ( with Daniele Orsato, Marco Guida).
The Argentinian Facundo Tellos will be the only non-European referee to whistle a Euro match this summer. It was selected based on collaboration between UEFA and CONMEBOL, the South American football confederation.
