This Monday, January 20, Nassim Ran was a guest on the captain's Twitch channel
Cédric Yambéré, in the company ofIssam Ben Khemis. With them, they discussed several subjects and in particular the career of the central defender. He notably returned to his experience in Italy at Sassuolo.
« There is a new football, a new language, a new culture. I arrive, I put my bags down and the Sassuolo reserve coach says to me 'You're going to start on Saturday'. I had just arrived, it was against Lazio. He told me, 'Get ready.' I just arrived, I was in Colomiers and we trained twice a week… It’s another level. During the whole week he takes me into his office, he shows me tactics etc… We play against Lazio, it’s going really well. There was a big client across the street that day and it went really well. We do 2-2 and I tell myself that after that the machine is launched. Then it was Covid, the championship was stopped but we were still training. I train with the pros a month after my arrival. It's in November, things are going really well, I'm doing some training with the pros. In December I caught Covid, I stayed locked up for 15 days, no more training, nothing, and it wasn't fun there. You weren't going out. I come back before the December holidays, then in January I play a match and I injure my calf. I had a torn calf, I was disgusted. I came back very, very late, at the beginning of April… It was already complicated, I was far from my family, I wasn't playing. I come back, I play two, three matches and I relapse. The championship ended in June because it was postponed due to Covid. I had signed for one year with an option but they decided not to activate it. So I came back to France, I spent the whole summer with my trainer and I signed in September. »
