The Paris FC transfer window remains fairly calm overall, with the only signing of versatile defender Thibault De Smet from Reims. But many avenues are being studied and one of them leads to Josuha Guilavogui. The Frenchman, who now plays for Leeds in the Championship, could bring his experience as a former international to the Parisian environment.
The leaders of Paris FC know very well that the rise to Ligue 1 will be far from easy. Beaten in Lorraine 3-1 by FC Metz last weekend, the Parisians – now 3rd in Ligue 2 – are in difficulty, with three defeats in the last four days. The PFC does not want to shake up its squad but the transfer window could help them raise their heads. The club is casting a wide net, particularly to prepare for next season, and is establishing contacts with several players. This is the case of Josuha Guilavogui, former French international (34 years old, 7 caps).

Only 48 minutes in the league with Leeds for Guilavogui
The first exchanges took place in recent days between Paris FC and the former player of AS Saint-Etienne, Wolfsburg or Girondins de Bordeaux. Currently in the Championship with Leeds United, where he only signed for one year, Guilavogui has only participated in ten ends of matches, without ever having started. The English adventure is not a complete success, but his high-level experience (218 Bundesliga matches, 118 in Ligue 1, 32 in the European Cup) could help solidify Stéphane Gilli's team, which conceded seven goals since mid-December.
-Ikoné, file on stand-by
Guilavogui, whose brother Morgan already played for Paris FC, is nevertheless not a priority for Paris FC. There is no question of panic buying because of the current poor results. Another file under fire in recent days, that of Jonathan Ikoné, has not seen any major progress. The Fiorentina winger is very interested in the Parisian project, but the club is considering how to integrate this kind of player into international status.
