OL will collect the money for Luiz Henrique (Botafogo)

As announced a few hours ago, Luiz Henrique will take charge of Russia and Zenit Saint Petersburg. The Russian club will spend 35 million euros, which will go into the coffers of OL, which would hold the player's sporting rights.

He will not have played a single minute with the OL jersey and yet he should enter the list of the biggest sales made by the club. This is the whole paradox of this multi-ownership into which theOL for more than two years now and the arrival of John Textor at the head of the club. In the coming hours, a nice check for thirty-three million euros (and two bonuses) should arrive in OL's bank account thanks to the sale of… Luiz Henrique.

Indeed, according to The Teamthe Brazilian winger would belong sportingly to the Lyon team, although having played the last six months at Botafogo and having never made a detour to Lyon. This therefore implies that OL would have indirectly paid the 16 million euros spent last summer to see the Brazilian winger leave the Betis Sevilla and rally Botafogo. A sporting and administrative vagueness which necessarily worries the DNCG, as it showed last November.

Nevertheless, in John Textor's search for liquidity to convince the financial policeman to lift the sanctions next June, the sale of Luiz Henrique will do good. This is a considerable sum that will enter the coffers, in the absence of sporting reinforcement for Pierre Sage. If he has long been considered as the second recruit expected during the winter with Thiago Almada, the Brazilian winger should never set foot between Rhône and Saône, despite the clause in his contract. After Spain, it is on the side of Russia that Luiz Henrique will try to perform on the Old Continent with a four and a half year contract which awaits him at Zenit Saint Petersburg.
