AS Monaco is pleased to announce the arrival of Valy Konaté (18 years old) from Racing Club d'Abidjan. A promising Ivorian international, the left-back has signed up until June 2029 and joins the Elite Group led by Djimi Traoré.
Born on November 14, 2006 in Bouaké, Valy Konaté (18 years old) joined the Principality to continue his progress within AS Monaco.
A complete left back, as determined defensively as offensively, he started playing football at the age of 8 in his neighborhood of Djamourou, where he was quickly spotted to join the CFDV (Djamourou Training Center). Bouake).
In 2019, he caught the eye of the recruiters of the Racing Club of Abidjan during a detection and joined the Ivorian capital immediately. He joined the first team two seasons later, at just 15 years old, after having started and performed with the Ivorian U17 selection.

Little by little gaining a starting place at the RCA, he continues his rise with the U20, A' (with whom he takes part in the African Nations Championship – CHAN) and U23 selections in 2022 and 2023 while he is not not yet 17 years old. During a match against Iraq, he was even named captain!
An attentive spectator of the CAN 2024 won at home by Ivory Coast, Valy dreams of following in the footsteps of his elders, in particular Wilfried Singo whom he finds today on the Rock.
