“Everything we can’t buy back”: Patrick Bruel’s son talks about their house going up in smoke in Los Angeles

The start of 2025 has turned into a nightmare for residents of the city of Los Angeles, California. Since Tuesday January 7, 2025, major fires devastate a large part of “the city of angels. Thus, many celebrities unfortunately lost their villas in the flames. Among the latter, we can cite several French stars such as Laeticia Hallyday and the singer Patrick Bruel. In fact, the house he owned in this town was completely destroyed. Monday January 13, 2025, Patrick Bruel's youngest son, Léon Hesby, was on the show Culture Mediabroadcast on Europe 1. Unsurprisingly, the man who decided to follow in his father's footsteps by launching a career as a singer was questioned about the destruction of the villa where he partly grew up.

The house was completely burned. First of all, we should say the most important and most serious thing is that there are people who died, before houses, before material things.first indicated the son of Patrick Bruel, in order to put into perspective the extent of this drama concerning him. “We are obviously very sad, but we are not the most to be pitied because people have lost everything. I wanted to say that it is not material or financial things that bring us downbut the emotional part, everything that we can't buy back, that has no price and all the memories in this house that are gone”then added Léon Hesby. As a reminder, the young musician is the fruit of the union of Patrick Bruel and Amanda Sthers, who also had another child named Oscar. For his part, the actor also spoke about the fire at his house in Los Angeles a few days earlier on Instagram.

Patrick Bruel very touched by the loss of his villa in Los Angeles: “It was a beautiful anchor, another refuge”

The only assurance to which we cannot subscribe is that of the emotion, of the memories, of the objects, of the perfumes… and of the silences which surrounded this house which goes up in smoke. She was so important to us for 8 years… Oscar was 13, Léon 11 when we arrived… It's very hard to see the roots that we worked so hard to build disappear. It was a nice anchor, another refuge. This evening I am necessarily thinking of the victims, of my friends, of my neighbors, and of all those who lost everything in this disaster as in so many others in recent years. God bless our firefighters everywhere and always“, wrote Patrick Bruel in particular.
