Bafodé Diakité was pouting this Friday, after the draw conceded by LOSC in Auxerre (0-0). At the final whistle, he wanted to support Jonathan David.
Indisputable in the central hinge, Bafodé Diakité (24 years old) had a less painful evening than when he conceded a penalty against FC Nantes. The collective, however, was not more dazzling, conceding yet another draw (0-0) in its series of invincibility. At the final whistle, the former Toulouse player admitted that this part had been very complicated: “We had the weapons but I think everyone saw it, we were opposed to a very good Auxerre block which was pushed by its public. It was hard, hard to maneuver them”he admitted.
“We tried to play behind them to try to make them move back and open up spaces inside. […] Of the few scares we had, I think it’s okay, we managed them well. But that’s when you play against well-established blocks, you have to succeed in finding the solutions”he said.
Bafodé Diakité also wanted to support Jonathan David, who missed his penalty: “Afterwards, there is the penalty but the goalkeeper sometimes has the right to be good. We don’t blame Jona’ (David) at all. Today (Friday), we tried, they were in place with a very good goalkeeper, and it didn’t work.”he concluded at the microphone of the teams of
