You are currently the best passer in the championship, how did you receive this stat?
We’re halfway through the season, it’s not much at the moment. But it shows that I can be decisive outside of goals. We will do the calculations at the end of the season. Anything can happen, I will continue to work to be as efficient as possible, because it can help the team.
How does the group welcome the two new recruits?
We welcomed them very well. They are very good people and very good players. They will bring us a lot of things. It’s up to us to put them in the best conditions so that they adapt as quickly as possible to do good things.
Can we imagine seeing you in the future closer to Arnaud Kalimuendo in attack?
You have to ask the coach, he’s the one who decides, it’s a possibility. It would strengthen our environment with a lot of projection. Offensively we will be able to be more dangerous. I have already played in this position (in 4-4-2 under the striker). In 5-3-2, I have already played in the front two or the middle three. You’re asking someone who has played every position. It’s not a problem. Anyway, wherever the coach wants to put me I’m going to play.
Is it a satisfaction to have shown the coach that you shouldn’t be forgotten, after the first match where he put you on as a substitute?
I had to show. I showed against Saint-Etienne and I tried to keep this continuity to have the confidence of the coach and help my teammates. This is where we must see the real men who pulled the team to the top.
What did you do to be more dangerous in Nice?
Lots of movement ahead. We managed to cause problems for their defense, on calls from Kali in depth, my calls to me. These are things that must be kept. Can you estimate where you are in relation to where Jorge Sampaoli wants to take you in his philosophy?

He is someone who listens very well to his players and will give a lot of advice. You really have to understand everything he wants to say, it’s complicated with language.
