Club: A new track in Essonne for the future PSG stadium

PSG continues to prospect to find land likely to accommodate its future stadium. After visiting the old Ris-Orangis racecourse in December, Parisian leaders recently dug a track leading to , in Essonne.

Will the future PSG stadium be located in Essonne, southwest of ? In search of new land of at least 50 hectares to build its future stadium and its “PSG Land”, the Parisian club is multiplying the avenues in Île-de-. At the end of December, Le Parisien revealed that Victoriano Melero, general director of PSG, and Nicolas Ramillon, director in charge of the real estate sector, had visited the old Ris-Orangis racecourse on December 17.

A 97 hectare site available immediately because it has been abandoned for more than 20 years, but which is located more than 32 kilometers from the Parc des Princes, well beyond the 20 km radius listed in the specifications of the club. The Ris-Orangis site is also located 53 km from the PSG Campus, which is not an advantage, and according to the latest information from Le Parisien, this site suffers from a lack of access in terms of public transport to eyes of Parisian leaders.

PSG studies two avenues at Massy

Le Parisien also revealed last month that three other sites were being studied by PSG, including one located in the Essonne department. This Friday, the regional daily reveals that Parisian leaders are eyeing two sites located in Massy, in 91, and which are well served, a very important criterion for the club. The first land would be located on agricultural land in the ZAC de la Bonde.

The site covers 72 ha, but has a big disadvantage: a civil aviation radar, which is used to guide planes landing and taking off on the runways, is in fact installed in this sector and this easement. prohibits any construction of a building with a height greater than 40 m, which inevitably poses a problem when you want to build a football stadium.

The selected files will soon be presented to Al-Khelaïfi

The other sector of Massy targeted by PSG is located right next to the ZAC de la Bonde, but is smaller, only 20 ha. This concerns the Tuileries commercial area, currently fallow, with the exception of the recent takeover of Cora by Carrefour, with which contacts have already been established. This wasteland is already waterproofed and concreted, which is advantageous.

However, nothing says that this site will ultimately be retained by the leaders of PSG. According to the latest information from Le Parisien, Victoriano Melero and Nicolas Ramillon would like to present the selected files to their president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi during the year 2025, but the two men are still in the study and analysis phase of the different sites visited.

“PSG will opt for the safest and quickest file”

Another is located in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, in the agglomeration of Saint-Quentin-en-, which paid for an advertising page in L’Equipe last month to extol the merits of its territory. A way for “SQY” to “show that we are motivated to welcome the future PSG stadium and also to see what people think of it”says Jean-Michel Fourgous (LR), the president of the agglomeration, on the site 78actu.fr. “It’s a way of saying that we are still candidates,” adds the elected official in Le Parisien today.

The mayor of Aulnay-sous- (Seine-Saint-Denis), Bruno Beschizza (LR), still believes in it, even if his town clearly does not seem to be the favorite, despite 58 ha of land available on the old site. of PSA. “There is also an important dimension to take into account when we know the Qatari mentality, and that is the absence of recourse. What came back to my ears is that the club will opt for the safest and quickest file”confides the elected official in Le Parisien.

At the end of November, on RMC Sport, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi declared that he needed a “stadium ready in 3-4 years”. A desire which seems unrealistic, but which confirms the club’s ambition to waste no more time on this issue of the future stadium and to find the suitable site as quickly as possible.
