John Textor on the verge of saving Les Gones with a €30M sale

Faced with a major financial crisis, Olympique Lyonnais could well benefit from unexpected support within the Eagle galaxy. John Textor, owner of the Rhone club and several other teams, seems to be considering an innovative strategy to inject funds and ease the sanctions imposed by the DNCG, in particular the threat of administrative demotion to Ligue 2.

Luiz Henrique at the center of the debates

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, OL's potential savior could come from Brazil, more precisely from Botafogo, another club owned by Textor. Building on its recent success in the Copa Libertadores, the Carioca club is attracting attention, notably thanks to winger Luiz Henrique. The 23-year-old, author of an impressive season, is being courted by several European teams. An offer from Fiorentina has already been made, but refused by Botafogo, the amount hoped for by Textor reaching 30 million euros.

A complex but vital operation

If this sale were to materialize, it would offer an essential breath of fresh air to Olympique Lyonnais, in great difficulty on and off the field. However, the transaction is far from simple. Several parties are involved in the discussions, making negotiations delicate.

For OL, every euro counts in this decisive winter transfer window. The departure of Luiz Henrique could represent much more than a simple sale: a crucial lever to guarantee the financial and sporting survival of Les Gones.

Supporter of En Avant de Guingamp, the best of the Breton clubs, I prefer to meet Yannis Salibur, Cristophe Kerbrat or Jeremy Sorbon rather than Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi or Sergio Ramos.
