Winner of the UNFP Trophy for best player of the month of November, Jonathan David gave an interview to the teams of
Téléfoot during which he addresses LOSC supporters.
Author of notable performances in recent months, even if recent outings have been less intoxicating, Jonathan David was rewarded with the honorary title of best player of the month of November distributed by the UNFP. The logical continuation, as was the case for its predecessors, was none other than an interview given to the magazine which returns weekly to the French games.
The latter questioned him about a recent event. At the end of the reception of SK Sturm Graz, a European duel which the Mastiffs won (0-1), he found himself among the supporters, in the heart of the Lille kop. “David, extend, David extend”they chanted in unison, while brandishing a banner paying tribute to him. But how does Jonathan David manage this influx of love?
“A title is always the goal”
“I experience it very wellhe said, smiling.
It’s always a pleasure. But I want to say that this is not necessarily something normal. I don't talk about that much, it's my personality. That's why I sometimes try to express it in words even if my face doesn't necessarily show it. Thank you for the love you have shown me and the team over the years. When I arrived here, I didn't think I would reach 100 goals. It's something incredible. You have to take a moment to realize and appreciate. »confides the Canadian.
How can we use this love? It’s simple, Jonathan David (24 years old) hopes to be able to win a third title with LOSC: “That’s always the goal.he says.
Even though we know that it is never an easy task. We will give ourselves the means to try to accomplish it. » The message has been sent and it is now up to Lille supporters to get in tune.
A title? It will probably not be the French championship. Fourth in Ligue 1, LOSC is already significantly behind Paris Saint-Germain, undisputed leader at the end of the first fifteen days: “It’s complicated. We are already ten points away. If we want to do it, we're going to have to win a lot of matches and hope they lose some.”concludes Jonathan David who, after having logged more than 5,000 minutes for club and national team, can benefit from a brief period of calm: the winter break. « Is it you can en 2025 »he says, before running off.
