Notes: Rayo Vallecano – Real Madrid

Real Madrid faced Rayo today on matchday 17 of La Liga. Here are the scores given by our editorial team to the Madrilenians.

Courtois : 4.5 – A difficult game for the Real Madrid goalkeeper this evening. Far from being the first to blame for the three goals conceded but we must recognize that he has accustomed us to exploits.

Vazquez : 3 – Another failed match for the Real captain who continues to disappoint defensively. He was involved in the first two goals conceded by his team due to his poor marking. On the other side of the field, he was very active yes… but terribly imprecise.

Tchouaméni : 5.5 – The Frenchman did not lose face in a complicated match.

Rüdiger: 4.5 – The German did not seem to be in his right mood today. Often late in duels or even completely absent like on Rayo's equalizer where he did not follow Isi.

Fran Garcia: 3 – He did not know how to show himself defensively, following up his match in Bergamo. He is, like Lucas Vazquez, not free from all blame for the first two goals. Overtaken on the first then he stupidly concedes the corner on the second. Not sharp offensively either.

Valverde : 7 – It was clearly not Fede's greatest match, fatigue continues to be felt but the Uruguayan has character and he demonstrated it by waking up his team with a long-range strike.

Modric : 6.5 – A Croatian with very high activity in midfield. He was able to turn Real's head around a little in terms of content by taking more of the game into his own hands.

Arda Guler: 5 – There was good and bad in the Turk's match. A few laser passes but he is always a little frail in duels and is looking for his best place. It’s definitely not on the right.

Bellingham : 7 – Three fouls suffered in 5 minutes. The tone was set, nothing was offered to the Briton who still managed to find the fault by equalizing just before the break like a number 9. He still had less influence in comparison with these last matches.

Brahim Diaz : 5 – Interesting in his ability to insert himself into the heart of the game and turn around quickly to facilitate ball exits. However, we did not find him where we expected him most, that is to say offensively.

⭐️ Rodrygo : 7.5 – He took a little time before entering his game, he was playing on the right… Then he moved back to the left and made the difference twice: decisive pass for Bellingham and goal after the break . This is encouraging for a player with so little pace.

Ancelotti: 5 – A surprising and not efficient starting line-up given the start of his team's match. And his choices in the second period brought nothing to the team.
