ASSE will face Marseille this weekend at the end of the 14th day of Ligue 1. Olivier Dall'Oglio will be deprived of several elements of his squad for this meeting. Already absent for 2 weeks, Yvann Maçon will not return to the field straight away.
Several absences from ASSE
ASSE will have to deal with several absences for this match. Ben Old remains away from the field for several months, while Thomas Monconduit continues his recovery phase and has joined the group. Yvann Maçon was hit in the knee. Mickaël Nadé, also absent, could however return to the group against Marseille.
Anthony Briançon, absent for several weeks, has returned to collective training and is getting closer to a return to competition in Ligue 1. Olivier Dall'Oglio will have to cope without Augustine Boakye, who will be suspended for the match against Marseille. The Ghanaian will not be the only one in this case since Mathieu Cafaro was expelled this Saturday in Rennes.
Yvann Maçon absent for several weeks
Yvann Maçon, versatile right side of AS Saint-Étienne, will not return to the field before the end of January 2025. Victim of a knee injury, the 25-year-old Guadeloupean will undergo joint washing in the coming days, according to The team following persistent pain.
This problem is a consequence of an operation undergone last September, after a blow received during the defeat against Brest (0-4) on August 31. Since then, Maçon has seen his knee swell several times, preventing any full recovery. Examinations revealed residual debris in the meniscus. If a new surgical operation has been ruled out, the player will have to wait another month before resuming collective training.
AS Saint-Étienne will still have to cope without one of its key elements for the next deadlines. Maçon's return is expected at the end of January. Olivier Dall'Oglio will therefore once again be deprived of his full-back for several meetings.
