According to AFP, Kylian Mbappé would have referred the matter to the LFP disciplinary committee for “non-payment” after PSG announced that it would not pay the €55 million it owes to the Real Madrid striker.
Kylian Mbappé did not wait for the industrial tribunal to resolve his dispute with PSG regarding the €55 million in salaries and bonuses not paid last season. AFP tells us that the Real Madrid striker has referred the matter to the LFP disciplinary committee for “failure to pay bonuses and salaries”. A hearing will take place on December 11 between lawyers for both parties. Contacted by AFP, PSG indicated that it was calm because the LFP cannot legally force the club to pay the sums due. The League will have to rely on the competent authorities, therefore the industrial tribunal.
Neither side wants to let go
This new episode shows that neither Kylian Mbappé nor Paris Saint-Germain is ready to give up in this big money affair. As a reminder, the striker and his management agreed last winter that part of the money the club owed the player would be withheld if he did not extend. It was to be used to make up for the shortfall in the absence of transfer compensation. Except that there was never a written agreement and Mbappé is taking advantage of this vagueness today. The Parisian leaders, for their part, rely on comments from the player, who assured that there was an oral agreement which should allow all parties to separate in a positive manner. The striker responds that this agreement became obsolete from the moment Luis Enrique received the order to regularly remove him from the team, supposedly to prepare for the future.
The latest trends suggest that it is Kylian Mbappé who will win his case in this matter. Paris Saint-Germain would have anticipated the hard blow by providing €55 million. But what is certain is that the links between the two parties are definitively severed.
