The conflict between Kylian Mbappé and PSG takes a new turn. The Real Madrid striker has contacted the LFP disciplinary committee to claim the €55 million in bonuses he is demanding from his former club.
Kylian Mbappé accuses PSG of “failure to pay”
The conflict between Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain is getting bogged down. The French striker, now at Real Madrid, has appealed to the disciplinary committee of the Professional Football League for an amount of 55 million euros that he believes is owed to him by the Parisian club. This amount includes in particular the final third of a signing bonus, unpaid salaries and an ethics bonus.
At the origin of this dispute, an agreement signed in August 2023 which provided that Kylian Mbappé waive these bonuses if he left PSG free at the end of the season. A clause that the 25-year-old player is contesting today, arguing a possible lack of consent. Carlo Ancelotti's protégé even describes this agreement as “occult.” »
Despite two decisions by the Professional Football League in favor of the French international, the capital club refuses to pay the requested sum. The capital club believes that the agreement is valid and that the number 9 of Real Madrid has not respected his commitments. According to information obtained by L'Équipe, Mbappé points to a “failure to pay bonuses and salaries” by Paris SG, which risks a lot in this affair.
Paris SG soon banned from recruitment?
In open conflict with PSG for several months, Kylian Mbappé benefits from several favorable court decisions. Despite this, PSG still refuses to pay the requested amount. A hearing is scheduled for December 11 before the LFP disciplinary committee.
If Nasser Al-Khelaïfi's club is found guilty of not having respected its contractual obligations, it faces sanctions which could range from a simple fine to a ban on recruitment. However, the Parisian management seems confident and believes that the LFP can only refer the matter to the industrial tribunal.
“In law and in fact, the player has made clear and repeated public and private commitments which the club simply asks him to honor and respect in view of the unprecedented advantages he has received from the club for seven years” , insists PSG for its part, which speaks of a question of “good faith and honesty. »
