Stade Rennais continues to secure the future within the club of its promising 2007 generation. After Yaël Thébault and Mohamed Kader Meïté, the SRFC formalized this Wednesday, November 27, 2024 the signing of the first professional contract of Lucas Rosier (17 years old). The 1.71m Guadeloupean winger is now under contract with the Rouge et Noir until 2028.
Arriving at Stade Rennais in 2022 from Stade Lamentinois, a partner club of SRFC, Rosier is mainly playing in National 3 this season. He played seven of the reserve team's nine matches for a goal, and he also strengthened the U19 team twice. In 2023-2024, he played the first two months of the season with the U19s before switching to the N3 championship (13 matches, four goals).

“The objective is to see him evolve at Roazhon Park”
This season, he also discovered the French U18 team with his first three selections in September. “My family traveled from Guadeloupe to witness my signing, rejoices the player in the official press release from Stade Rennais. It really mattered to me. She has been with me since I was little, traveling a lot to come see me here in Rennes. I thank them for everything they have done for me. This is a first objective achieved. Now, I want to bring even more to the club, to my team and, why not one day, join the first team at Stade Rennais and make the crowds at Roazhon Park scream. »
“It’s a real reward for Lucas, greets Denis Arnaud, director of the Academy. Its journey began very early, 8,000 km from here, with a partnership with Stade Lamentinois in Guadeloupe. It is also a reward for the club and the coaches who have managed to support this player profile. Lucas is a wide player who is capable of playing inside. He also has elimination and dribbling skills, with athletic and supporting abilities that are quite extraordinary. This is what makes it unique. The objective for us is to see him evolve one day at Roazhon Park, it's a long journey. It will take the trust of the club, a lot of work, effort, to continue to develop. It will be up to him to knock on the doors of the biggest. »
