Roberto De Zerbi is very interested in Arthur, the Juventus Turin midfielder. But for Pablo Longoria, there is no question of going crazy to recruit for a position where OM is already very well stocked.
As is often the case with Olympique de Marseille, the transfer window will be hectic in January. The Marseille club intends to take advantage of this transfer window to make some adjustments within Roberto De Zerbi's squad. OM's desire is to recruit a right back but also an attacking midfielder to compensate for the loss of Valentin Carboni, out all season. Against all expectations, a last-minute reinforcement for the midfield relay position is also being considered by the Olympian club. Roberto De Zerbi particularly fell in love with Arthur, under contract with Juventus Turin until June 2026 and for whom the Old Lady is demanding 15 million euros.
But according to the information on the site All Juveit is out of the question for Pablo Longoria to pay such a sum, even less to strengthen a playing sector already provided with Rongier, Hojbjerg, Rabiot, Kondogbia or even Nadir and Koné. The president of OM must, however, listen to the needs and wishes of his coach, which is why he will still send an offer to Juventus Turin for Arthur. But according to the specialist media, it will be a loan offer.
Finally a loan for Arthur to OM?
Pablo Longoria will not go beyond and offer money for the Brazilian, especially because his playing time in recent months has been quite low and his physical fitness remains uncertain. The question now is whether this loan offer is likely to hit the mark. There is optimism at OM because according to the transalpine media, Juventus Turin is open to the idea of a loan from Arthur so that the Brazilian regains playing time and boosts his market value before a potential sale next June, one year from the end of his contract. Marseille could therefore carry out a great operation in this matter without spending a cent.
