Mbappé slammed the door, “it’s gangrene” at PSG!

During the last summer transfer window, Kylian Mbappé left Nasser Al-Khelaïfi's PSG. At the end of his contract on June 30, the 25-year-old star joined Real Madrid freely and for free. While PSG has struggled to score in the Champions League since the start of the season, Denis Troch affirmed that the departure of Kylian Mbappé had something to do with it.

After seven seasons of good and loyal service at PSG, Kylian Mbappé has decided to change direction. Under contract until June 30, 2024, the 25-year-old star flew to Madrid last summer to sign freely for Real Madrid.

Without Mbappé, PSG can no longer do it

Orphaned by Kylian Mbappé, PSG became harmless in the Champions League. Indeed, Luis Enrique's men have a lot of trouble shaking the opposing nets in C1; having scored only three goals, including an own goal, in four days. According to Denis Troch, former assistant to Artur Jorge at PSG, Ousmane Dembélé's gang has had a blockage since the departure of Kylian Mbappé.

“You need to prepare for this, don’t panic”

“They knew that Mbappé was capable of scoring at any time, so he influenced his team positively and the opponent negatively. There, there is no more that, the media wonder if they are capable of succeeding without him. Doubt creeps in, and the players know well when the public is afraid. The big question is how you handle stressful situations. They score less in C1 than in L1, but it's the same for everyone. You have to prepare for that, don’t panic, otherwise it’s gangrene,” said Denis Troch in an interview with L’Equipe. It remains to be seen whether PSG will succeed in relaunching offensively against Bayern this Tuesday evening at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
