The war never ends between PSG and Mbappé

Kylian Mbappé is expected to remain linked in some way to his former club Saint-Germain until 2025.

Mbappé has finally completed his long-awaited move to Real Madrid ahead of the 2024/25 season after opting against a contract renewal in Paris.

Despite his departure from Paris as a free player – with Real Madrid not paying a transfer fee – PSG and Mbappé have remained locked in a legal battle worth around 55 million euros in recent months.

The Professional League (LFP) and the French Football Federation (FFF) had previously decreed a decision requiring PSG to pay this sum to Mbappé for unpaid salaries and bonuses.

Kylian Mbappé and PSG still in conflict

PSG took a firm stance on the issue and informed all parties that it would not make the payment before the deadline at the end of October, citing disagreements over the interpretation of the contract, according to Marca.

PSG had ten days to submit a request for review (from October 25) to the FFF executive committee. But the request was made a day late, which led the FFF to reject it.

The club is now forced to pay Mbappé the €55 million, or take the matter to court, which seems the most likely route, as they want to take a stand against their former striker and his advisors.
