Manchester United are looking to strengthen themselves in midfield and have toasted everyone by closing in on Eduardo Camavinga, the Frenchman from Real Madrid.
New coach of Manchester United, Ruben Amorim will have control of the winter transfer market to recruit as he sees fit. The idea is to finally match performances with the Red Devils' budget. For this, the players that the Portuguese coach had under his wing at Sporting will necessarily be in the viewfinder, but this cannot be limited to a single club. And Manchester United dreams of stealing a new midfielder from Real Madrid, two and a half years after Casemiro. It is the Spanish media Bernabeu Digital which affirms that the residents of Old Trafford contacted the representatives of Eduardo Camavinga to find out if he was tempted to cross the Channel. This interest did not come by chance, because the English managers saw that the former Rennes player was not satisfied with his use since the start of the season, with only 4 matches in La Liga for example. And it's not just physical problems to explain this sidelining.
Camavinga flattered by MU
The first returns would in any case be positive because Eduardo Camavinga is flattered by the interest of Manchester United and interested in the idea of one day discovering the Premier League. Discussions have not yet focused on a possible future contract but there is no doubt that the French midfielder would not lose out. On the other hand, it would clearly go from a candidate for victory in the Champions League to a team that is much less strong on a European level, and even nationally. However, the obstacles are currently considered too numerous to finalize such an operation. Camavinga is under contract until June 2029 and Real Madrid will ask for at least 100 million euros. Result, according to the Spanish media, the former Rennes player made it clear that, despite this flattering interest, the operation had no chance of succeeding in the near future. A postponement therefore for Manchester United, who leaves these discussions with valuable information, namely that Camavinga is not against arriving at Old Trafford in the years to come.
