OL: Gift Orban on departure, first prices revealed

Gift Orban leaving this winter, it's in the pipeline. Turkey appreciates it but it is not yet a priority.

The situation at Olympique Lyonnais forces it to look for ways out for its unwanted players as quickly as possible. Among them, a certain Gift Orban. The Nigerian striker has not yet managed to establish himself in the Rhone squad, although he arrived with the label of great hope in the 2024 winter transfer window. After only 5 goals scored in 21 contested matches and involvement in the life of the club called into question, the former La Gantoise is pushed out by his management. To recover it, two Turkish clubs are on the lookout. One of them, however, only considers it as a plan B and has set his priority on… a former OL striker.

Gift Orban barred by a former OL player?

If he wants to regain sensations and more playing time, Gift Orban has no other choice but to leave OL at the next winter transfer window. The one who will undoubtedly be part of the big clearance sale organized in would have leads in Türkiye. As Jeunes Footeux indicates, the Nigerian striker interests Trabzonspor and Galatasaray. However, for Todofichajes, it is not at all the preferred route of the Istanbul leaders. The latter would aim to afford Moussa Dembélé, who would not feel comfortable in Saudi Arabia.

Gift Orban could therefore see his path blocked by a former Olympique Lyonnais player. The height. And between the two clubs, there is a big difference. Galatasaray is currently racing in the Turkish championship with 10 wins and 1 draw in 11 matches, while Trabzonspor is languishing at the bottom of the standings, three places from relegation. However, the latter would be ready to put a good sum on the table to afford the Nigerian striker. Some sources speak of a loan with purchase option worth between 8 and 13 million euros. In any case, it will be difficult for OL to obtain more than the basic investment, i.e. 14 million euros, given its financial situation, which is known to all.
