Several ASSE players joined their selection during the international break. If some have been called up to their country's A team, others are still playing with the youth categories. Lucas Stassin was, for example, called up to the Belgium U21s. Ayman Aiki (U20), Mathis Amougou (U19) and Nadir El Jamali (U18) are with the Bleuets during this break. Another (very) young player was also on deck with his selection.
Samuel Fukeki (ASSE) scorer with the young people of Romania
Samuel Fuleki is a winger playing mainly with the ASSE U16 group. Born in 2009, this young player was also able to play with the National U17s this season, just like his brother Rafael, also 15 years old. Capable of making great differences, particularly thanks to his physical qualities and speed, he is one of the players to follow in his generation at Forez.
During the international break, Samuel Fuleki was called up to the Romanian U16s. The Romanian selection camp took place in Slovakia from November 10 to 17. A double confrontation between the Romanian and Slovak U16s was on the program.
In the first of the two matches, Samuel Fuleki was a substitute at kick-off. The young winger came on at half-time and stood out. He indeed scored his team's only goal during the match with a powerful shot under the bar. This goal allowed the Romanians to equalize (1-1).
During the second round, the two teams had to decide after a first draw. Samuel Fuleki, number 7 behind the back, was the starter this time after scoring points during the first opposition. Here again, the Saint-Etienne player was decisive. He once again scored his team's only goal. In fact, he was on the receiving end of a cross to finish in two stages. The Romanians were again held in check by Slovakia (1-1).
