Jean-Michel Aulas quells rumors of a return to OL

In recent days, rumors have suggested a desire for Jean-Michel Aulas to return to OL. The former president denied these rumors.

Much has been written about OL's financial setbacks. And they rekindle a desire in some to return to the forefront? In any case, this is what the rumors over the past few days have suggested. Thus, Jean-Michel Classes would, according to rumors in the corridor, have an idea in the back of his head, that of returning to the organizational chart.

But the former president of the Rhone institution (from 1987 to 2023) shared a message on social networks to deny, between the lines, these rumors. “Olympique Lyonnais, with its supporters, is a wonderful club, among the first for academies, for both women and men. It's up to the new team to write a new chapter in the club's history. I will devote myself to the development of women's and the FFF“, he posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Today vice-president of the French Football Federation, the Rhodanian is currently busy with the elections at the head of the body which will take place in mid-December. This obviously does not prevent him from keeping an eye on OL, then everyone is free to believe or not the message shared by him. Remember that he left his position on the board of directors in 2023. He is nevertheless still officially its honorary president. Aulas has also been the boss of the Women's League since April 2024.
