Second defeat for Diaoune and Imbondo (LOSC) with the French U18 team

Turkey is not successful against the French U18 team which recorded its second loss in a row this Saturday, this time against the Netherlands (0-1).

For their first international gathering with the French U18 team, Soriba Diaoune (17 years old) and Ramsès Imbondo (17 years old) will not have had the opportunity to raise their arms. Defeated by Turkey a few days earlier (1-0), it was surpassed by the same score this Saturday following a goal from Manuel Bahaty (23′) for the Netherlands. This was logical given the scenario, and the Bleuets were then never able to turn the tide, losing by a short lead (0-1).

“We had a complicated first period and the second period, with the contribution of the newcomers, was much more consistent. Overall, these two defeats with a score of 0-1 relate to the matches played in where we had draws. There is the disappointment of having lost 2 matches but we have to take perspective because we got answers to several questions. The most important thing is to experience a gathering with players you don't know, to multiply associations to prepare for the future. I hope we will have the chance to meet again in March”commented Landry Chauvin, coach of the U18 team at the final whistle, in comments relayed by the French Federation.

This second consecutive setback reflects the difficulties of the U18s in achieving their highlights against high-level teams. The Bleuets will meet again in March to play a friendly tournament in Portugal. Soriba Diaoune and Ramsès Imbondo, for their part, gained experience at international level in November.
