a new package confirmed for the Greens!

Ibrahim Maza, young prospect for the Algerian national team and Hertha Berlin player, was forced to withdraw from the next Fennecs camp in November due to an injury. The Algerian Federation (FAF) announced the sad news through a press release, specifying that the player was injured during his last match with his club.

This package is added to an already long list of players unavailable for the national team regrouping. Indeed, Maza joins Houssem Aouar, Bachir Belloumi, Ismaël Bennacer, and Hicham Boudaoui, all forced to abandon the gathering due to injuries. This series of defections represents a hard blow for coach Petkovic and for the supporters, who hoped to see these talents bring new impetus to the selection.

For Ibrahim Maza, this injury is all the more disappointing as it comes after a promising start with the Greens. During the last training camp, the young midfielder caused a sensation despite a brief appearance at the end of the match against Togo in Annaba. Came on with just five minutes remaining, Maza was able to be impactful by making a key pass to Mohamed Farsi, who then served Mohamed Amoura to score Algeria's fifth goal. This short but memorable passage gave a glimpse of Maza's potential, already highly appreciated by fans.

Expectations around the young 18-year-old player were therefore high, and this injury unfortunately delayed his return to the Algerian jersey. Ibrahim Maza will now have to be patient, focusing on his recovery and a return to form with Hertha Berlin, in the hope of donning the Green tunic again soon.
