U17 National: An imperfect victory

After a 3-3 draw at Cavigal last week, the Greens were keen to consolidate their leadership position. But David Le Moal's players struggled to get into rhythm this Sunday afternoon in Michon. Against the run of play, they opened the scoring after a cross from Mylan Toty for Rayan Aït Amer (ASSE 1-0 Air Bel, 22e). We had to wait until the end of the second half to see Medhy Lutin Zidee score the second Stéphanois goal. Following a transition, he starts from midfield and goes alone to goal (ASSE 2-0 Air Bel, 82e). In the process, the Greens concede a penalty which the Southerners transform (ASSE 2-1 Air Bel, 87e).

Between all that, the young Greens had difficulty bringing out the balls and putting on the intensity necessary to shine in this type of match.

See you next weekend with a trip to Valencia.

« Despite this victory, I was very disappointed by the entry. We were very fragile in everything. We didn't put much effort and didn't put much truth into this match. The opponent gave us problems but we were not up to the task. For young people in training, U17s who have to come up with things, I think we had a bit of an old-fashioned mentality, like in a Coupe de match, we only cared about the result. »
