Paul Pogba defends Manchester United against Tottenham supporters by recalling the club's recent trophies. A spicy exchange between the former Red Devil and Spurs fans.
Paul Pogba, former Manchester United player, did not hesitate to throw a dig at Tottenham supporters during an online discussion. Responding to Spurs fans who claimed their club's current superiority, Pogba recalled that despite ups and downs, United had won several trophies in recent years, unlike Tottenham.
“When you win a trophy, remind me, and I will say that Tottenham are better”quipped Pogba. Indeed, Manchester United have lifted cups under José Mourinho and Erik ten Hag, while Tottenham have not won anything since 2008.
A rivalry around trophies
Although Tottenham currently lead Manchester United in the standings, with a six-point lead, recent results lean towards the Red Devils, a point Pogba has insisted on. Currently suspended for doping, Pogba hopes to return to the game in 2025.
