PSG's 3 priorities for January!

Club de invites you to follow the news of OM's competitors (PSG, Monaco, , , LOSC, , etc.). PSG is focusing on strengthening its left wing, an understudy at the left-back position and the search for a right-handed defender to anticipate the possible departure of Skriniar during the winter transfer window.

While waiting to advance the recruitment of a top striker, Saint-Germain (PSG) is focusing on other priorities for the winter transfer window, according to information published by L'Équipe. One of the main objectives of the Parisian club would be to strengthen its offensive sector by recruiting a left winger capable of competing with Bradley Barcolawho has become one of PSG's most prominent players at the start of the season.

Currently, Barcola's only real understudy in this position is Désiré Doué. However, the sports daily reveals that Luis Enrique favors a more central role for Doué. Therefore, PSG absolutely wants to recruit an additional left winger to offer more depth to its squad and create healthy competition within the team.

Regarding defense, the Parisian club has also identified a need for reinforcement. The position of left sidein particular, requires a liner, even if the track leading to Theo Hernandez seems to be looking more towards next summer. On the right, on the other hand, no recruits are planned, because Warren Zaire-Emery, promising young PSG player, should be able to support Achraf Hakimi.

PSG is also looking for a right-handed defender to anticipate future developments in its squad. Indeed, the club could see the Marquinhos era come to an end, while the departure of Milan Skriniar, deemed incompatible with the tactical demands of Luis Enrique, seems increasingly likely in January. Consequently, PSG wants to prepare for the future by recruiting a defender with a profile suited to its game project.

Finally, although the winter transfer window is still far away, PSG remains attentive to the opportunities that could present themselves, particularly on the South American market. Last year's experience with the arrivals of Lucas Beraldo and Gabriel Moscardo shows that the Parisian club does not hesitate to seize the right opportunities to strengthen its squad based on opportunities on the international market.

Thus, even if the recruitment of a top striker remains a longer-term priority, PSG is already positioning itself on several strategic issues to best prepare for its winter transfer window and strengthen its team for the second half of the season.
