The former coach of Montpellier Hérault Sport Club, Michel Der Zakarian, is in the process of joining Espérance Sportive de Tunis (EST). Barely a week after his departure from Montpellier, negotiations with the Tunisian club have reached an advanced stage. This change of coach follows the dismissal of Miguel Cardoso, and the club management is looking for a technician capable of turning things around after a difficult start to the season.
Lhe discussions between EST President Hamdi Meddeb and Der Zakarian seem promising. However, the coach takes the time to think about the offer made to him, both financially and on the sporting ambitions of the club, which is qualified for the group stage of the Champions League and will participate in the Coupe du club world in 2025. The pressure is on, as the transition phase under Skander Kasri must end quickly, with a crucial match against ES Sahel to come.
