After a debut full of promise, the young Turkish nugget no longer seems to fit into Carlo Ancelotti's plans for the moment.

Ancelotti's use of Güler is increasingly meager, enough to make noise in Turkey where fans of the 19-year-old prodigy would like to see him play more often.

A role still to be defined
Arda Güler is a versatile player who can play in different positions: midfielder, central attacking midfielder, winger, false number 9… This is both an advantage but also a disadvantage in that it is difficult to pin down the pure post of little Arda. “Arda Güler can play as an inside player,” Ancelotti ventured before the match against Stuttgart in the Champions League, aware that he needs to work with the player to develop him in this position. “We have to train him, but he has the characteristics to play in this position. And what difference for the Italian between an “interior” and the one who plays in the attacking trident? “An inside player has to position himself well between the lines, receive the ball and try to make the right pass for the attackers. And on a defensive level, he has to close a little more inside, that requires a lot more physical work,” he clarified. And it is in this role that the key to Güler's triumph lies at Real Madrid because in attack there is already a lot of competition with Mbappé, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Brahim and Endrick.
The selection as a breath of fresh air
Indeed, the Turkish striker has a lot of fun on the pitch every time he plays with the Turkish national team. He almost always starts with the Turkish selection. Vincenzo Montella, Italian coach of Turkey, made him the real playmaker of his team. During the last meeting in mid-October, for example, he scored a goal and provided an assist in Turkey's 4-2 victory over Iceland.
At just 19 years old, he has already played 16 matches for the Turkish national team, scoring 3 goals and providing 6 assists. But, this season with Real Madrid, his playing time only reached 292 minutes. Arda is a gem that Real Madrid intends to polish over time and he will have to arm himself with patience, a more important virtue than one can imagine in today's football.
