“It’s terrible to see a club like that”
Michel Audrain : “For me, it was terrible. I got along really well with everyone in Bordeaux at the time. Afterwards, we lost touch, but we always maintained contact through the people we met. We met. And what’s more, when I took on the role of coach, I went to Bordeaux to play, especially when I was an assistant at Rennes or Lyon, so we always had this connection with people from Bordeaux. There were always relationships, and it’s terrible to see a club like that, because it’s still a legendary club which has won French Cups, titles. It is today in National 2, and. again, he has an enormous chance of not starting from lower ground. I think he was helped by the heritage of Bordeaux and especially the wealth that he was able to give to football.
