OL gets angry and fires two players

Two OL players are the subject of disciplinary proceedings. The reasons are still unclear, but Florent Sanchez and Chaïm El Djebali should no longer wear the jersey.

Very far from appearing in Pierre Sage’s little papers for the current season and this is quite normal given the plethora of staff at the disposal of the 45-year-old coach, Florent Sanchez and Chaïm El Djebali do not fit in either more in Gueïda Fofana’s plans. The Olympique Lyonnais reserve coach has not called upon Sanchez and El Djebali for several weeks, and it seems that the two men have finished their history with the Rhone club. In fact, the site Olympic and Lyonnais we learn this Wednesday that Florent Sanchez and Chaïm El Djebali are both the subject of disciplinary proceedings by the club from the capital of Gaul.

Sanchez and El Djebali pushed towards the exit

The reasons for this brutal sidelining are not yet known, but it is known that the two young players aged 21 and 20 will no longer wear the colors of OL from now on. “It’s a bitter end to the story for the two midfielders, natives of Lyon, trained at the Academy and for whom many hopes had been raised at one time or another” add our colleagues, who recall that Florent Sanchez was pushed out last summer, without a way out being ultimately found for him. The situation of Chaïm El Djebali, however, was very different because the midfielder under contract with OL until 2027 had joined the professional group led by Pierre Sage on a few occasions this summer to such an extent that he came into play in during the first day of Ligue 1.

But with this disciplinary procedure, the adventure of the two players in Lyon has taken a wrong turn and we will now have to be attentive to possible communication from OL in the days to come to find out more.
