“Zegroking!”, Edon Zhegrova (LOSC) “proud” to represent his country again

Edon Zhegrova made a winning return to the selection this Saturday, decisive in Kosovo’s victory over Lithuania (1-2). This Sunday morning, he expressed his pride at being able to represent his country again.

In September, Edon Zhegrova (25 years old) made headlines in the press during the international break. He was dismissed from the Kosovo group for behavior deemed inappropriate. The local newspapers were panicking, citing a nightclub outing to explain this non-compliance with the regulations established by his selection. The resident firmly denied this version, detailing the process of his ouster at a press conference a few days later: “It’s not a secret. It’s nothing. I was just late for a meeting. It was not the coach who made the decision, it was the federation”he blurted out to the French media. The case was then closed.

Kosovo coach, Franco Foda reinstated him to his group in October, a sign that the reality between the two men is good. Revengeful, Edon Zhegrova did not take long before he was talked about again. He made a winning return to the selection by opening the scoring this Saturday during his team’s victory over Lithuania (1-2). He then let out his rage to celebrate, in communion with his teammates. The next day, this Sunday, he expressed his joy at finding this jersey on social networks: “Congratulations to the team for this victory! I’m happy to have scored another goal. I am proud to represent my country”he said, sharing a few photos of the meeting.

In comments, several players validate his statements, like Florent Muslija, author of the decisive pass the day before: « Another One »he exclaims, followed in his footsteps by Rémy Cabella and a « Zegrokinggggg »new nickname for Kosovar.
