Undefeated in the championship, Dijon has had a successful start to the season. However, the Burgundians know that the arrival of OL women will be anything but a cakewalk.

Joe Montemurro conceded that he expected to see an opponent “very well organized and very compact” this Saturday (5 p.m.) on Gaston Gérard’s lawn. After et GalatasarayOL women will most certainly face a third predominantly defensive team with the trip to Dijon. However, undefeated at the start of the season (two draws and a victory), Sébastien’s team Joseph will necessarily put its principles in brackets. “He is truly an adversary that we are obliged to take into account, with all his forces, assured the Dijon coach in comments reported by Bleu. We’re more in the process of adapting, since we know that we’re going to spend a majority of the time without having the ball, so more in defensive phases.”.

Having started its season well, the DFCO welcomes the OL women as a bonus match, even if the Dijonnaises do not admit defeat even before the kick-off. If the coach regrets “lack of communication and promotion” of the meeting by the club, Dijon has already achieved the feat of keeping the Fenottes in check. It was October 2019 with a 0-0 draw at home. A memory that is still very present in Noémie Caragareturned to DFCO this summer and trained at OL. “We had a difficult start to the season. It was really incredible the feeling we had during this match, remembers the side. On the pitch, we really felt this collective. As if nothing could happen to us. We had the posts, the bar, our goalkeeper made all the saves, the foot dragging for it to go out”

This Saturday (5 p.m.), the Burgundians would sign for this draw point. Not sure that OL hears it that way.
