reassuring news from Christopher Wooh, seriously affected with Cameroon

This Friday evening, the Cameroon – Kenya match (4-1) was marked by a worrying incident involving Christopher Wooh, defender of Stade Rennais, who lost consciousness after a violent collision with an opponent. The former Lensois defender was quickly taken care of by the trainers and seemed conscious when he was evacuated on a stretcher. He was replaced by Jean-Charles Castelletto and taken to hospital for tests.

“More fear than harm” for Wooh

Tests which were ultimately reassuring. In fact, the defender himself communicated with a message in an Instagram story. “Thank you for your messages, nothing serious, more fear than harm,” Wooh announced in his post. Later, a photo with the president of the Cameroon Football Federation, Samuel Eto’o, was just as reassuring even if the player sported an imposing bandage at the height of his eyebrow bone.
