Season after season, Moses Simon continues and confirms the potential seen in Spain, when he wore the colors of Levante, in 2020. Bought for 5 million euros by FC Nantes, the sparkling Nigerian international has never disappointed with the Canaries . And against all expectations, despite flattering statistics and a successful new 2023-2024 season, Moses Simon stayed this summer.
“In one on one, he can pass anyone…”
The case of Moses Simon was mentioned during the latest “Sans control” podcast, which covers FC Nantes news every Tuesday. The journalists invited to speak about the Nigerian are unanimous, Simon is cut out for bigger than the FCN: “He is in full swing, he is clearly above in Ligue 1. There are few defenses and defenders who can resist him. One-on-one, he can pass anyone… We still wonder what the hell we’re doing with Ligue 1 sports directors this summer! It’s crazy! He is above… Which FC Nantes player could play in Lyon for example? There aren’t 50, there’s only one: it’s him. He can very well integrate this Lyon squad, he would not do any harm”.

Last summer, Moses Simon was mentioned by OM. Roberto De Zerbi, who was looking for an experienced profile capable of provoking, would have studied the option of the Nantes resident. The asking price, between 12 and 15 million euros, has surely discouraged Marseille’s finances. At 29 years old, Moses Simon is not a promising prospect. But the left winger clearly has the possibilities to evolve at a higher level
