François Grenet castigates the Girondin and Niortais leaders

In La Nouvelle République, François Grenet, candidate for the presidency of the Ligue , spoke about the “loss” of two of its locomotives, namely the Girondins de Bordeaux and the Chamois Niortais, having left the world this summer professional.

“The clubs remain, people are only passing through. There are egos who trample on institutions and it’s revolting. At the regional level, we need to be able to find and put in place safeguards, or even sanctions to dissuade these people from coming into football. And if that’s not possible, make sure they can’t go anywhere else.”

André Poko has a new club

The former Girondins midfielder, André Pokohas just joined a new club, NK Istra 1961, which is currently 6th in the Croatian championship.

The sports director Saša Bjelanovic said:

“Andre is a midfielder with great international experience who has so far appeared in strong leagues and this is the profile we have been looking for for a long time. The goal is to help our team, one of the youngest in the championship this season, with his experience. He is credited with exceptional combativeness, as well as toughness in duels. André came extremely motivated and we are all looking forward to his first minutes in the Istra jersey”

Notes from Aurélien Tchouaméni and Jules Koundé

Here are the notes in L’Equipe of the two former Bordeaux players, after the victory of the French team against Israel (1-4).

Jules Koundé (5/10) : “He had Gloukh, the biggest Israeli client, in front of him and did not really limit his influence on the opposing game. He then tried to add more offensively, but with technical waste. He still brought in the cross before Camavinga opened the score (7th).”

Aurélien Tchouaméni (6/10) : “For his first as captain, the midfielder had a complicated start to the match with ball losses. Very much in demand at the restart, he had a discontinuous influence on the Blues’ game. Irreproachable in his desire, the Madrilenian was an efficient harasser and recuperator.
