An unprecedented 11 for the Blues! Deschamps changes everything

The team faces Israel in the Nations League this Thursday (8:45 p.m.). Here is the expected line-up for the Blues.

Didier Deschamps certainly would not have imagined, even a month ago, that he would approach a rally without his captain or his vice-captain. Yet this is the reality ofFrench team. Brutally rejuvenated, the selection is orphaned by Antoine Griezmann, who retired internationally, but also by Kylian Mbappé, who skipped this gathering to concentrate on his deadlines with Real Madrid.

Direct consequence: the Blues will present themselves with a completely new eleven for their match against Israel, this Thursday, as part of the Nations League (kick-off at 8:45 p.m.).

Who to replace Mbappé and Griezmann?

In this context, a question necessarily animates the pre-match: who will digitally replace Mbappé and Griezmann? In the number 9 position in which the star has been used in recent months, Marcus Thuram would start with a head start thanks to his performances at Inter Milan, despite a different system. But the uncertainties over his physical state could encourage Deschamps to relaunch Randal Kolo Muani, who has rarely disappointed in the selection.

Michael Olise could take on a role of number 10, in an animation where the Parisians Ousmane Dembélé and Bradley Barcola were initially expected, but the physical state of the former Lyonnais raises questions and should do so. In the middle, Madrilenians Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga apply, in front of a Saliba-Konaté central defense. Jules Koundé and Théo Hernandez start with a head start on the sides. Mike Maignan will hold his place in the goals.

The expected line-up for the Blues : Maignan – Koundé, Saliba, Conate, T. Hernandez – Chouameni, Camavinga – Dembélé, Olise, Barcola or Nkunku – Thuram or Kolo Muani.
