THE Girondins de Bordeaux discovered the Coupe de France from another angle when it entered the fray in the 4th round. Wiped off the map of professional football with this administrative relegation in National 2the scapular club is therefore found in the amateur world and its habits.
The clubs of Ligue 2 will enter in the 7th round and those of Ligue 1 in 1/32nds. Indeed, after the 3rd round played on the weekend of September 14 and 15, our players entered the running for the 4th round. It took place on the weekend of September 28 and 29. The draw gave the FC Seudre Océan as an adversary. After a 5-0 victory on the Puymoyen field, the Bordeaux team are in the 5th round and it will still be at regional level. It is during this round that the National clubs make their entry but Bordeaux will not be concerned since none of them are in the region.
THE Girondins de Bordeaux could, depending on the group they are in, come across a large entrance piece. Indeed, the clubs of Angoulême, Stade Poitevin and Genêts d’Anglet are still in the running. But there will also be a lot of people from National 3 with Stade Bordelais, Bayonne, Lège Cap Ferret and Chauvigny. Among the possible oppositions, very close clubs are still in the running such as Mérignac-Arlac, Villenave, SA Mérignac (Regional 1), La Brède (Regional 2)… Clubs from Departmental 1 and 2 are also still in the running.
